Where Crowley's Ridge rises out of the Arkansas Delta sits St. Francis County, whose seat of Forrest City pairs cotton-and-soybean farm country with a musical heritage that gave the world Al Green and Sonny Liston. When deputies make an arrest here, the person is booked into the St. Francis County Detention Center, where the charges, bond, and a mugshot all enter the public record.
Anyone arrested in St. Francis County — by a Forrest City police officer, a deputy of the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office, or an Arkansas State Police trooper along Interstate 40 — is booked into the St. Francis County Detention Center at 2124 South Washington in Forrest City. The names of everyone currently held there, with booking dates and charges, are published on the county's online inmate roster.
Every booking photo and arrest detail shown on this page is drawn from St. Francis County records and refreshed as new arrests come in. Open the full St. Francis County mugshot gallery, which can be sorted or searched to pull up the latest bookings.
About St. Francis County
Organized in 1827, St. Francis County ranks among Arkansas's oldest, taking its name from the St. Francis River that drains the surrounding lowlands. The seat, Forrest City, grew up in the 1860s around a railroad cut that General Nathan Bedford Forrest contracted to carve through Crowley's Ridge, the band of windblown hills that splits the county from north to south. Today about 23,000 people live here, most in or near Forrest City, with Hughes, Palestine, Madison, Colt, and Widener dotting the farmland. Cotton, rice, and soybeans still anchor the Delta economy, while Village Creek State Park and the St. Francis County Museum draw visitors to the ridge. The county shares its eastern line with Crittenden County on the way to Memphis; deeper into the Delta you can also check Mississippi County, while Craighead County sits north along Crowley's Ridge, and the rest of the state appears in the broader Arkansas listings.
