Garland County Mugshots & Booking Records

The 1905 Classical Revival Garland County Courthouse in Hot Springs, the only Arkansas courthouse that stands inside a national park.

Garland County wraps around Hot Springs, the thermal-spring resort long known as The American Spa. Steam still rises along Bathhouse Row inside Hot Springs National Park, the only national park in Arkansas, and the county's history runs from genteel spa tourism to the wide-open gambling era of Owney Madden and Lucky Luciano. Today roughly 100,000 people call this Ouachita Mountain county home.
Anyone arrested in Garland County is booked into the Garland County Detention Center at 3564 Albert Pike Road in Hot Springs, the jail run by the Garland County Sheriff's Office. It takes in people picked up by sheriff's deputies along with Hot Springs and Mountain Pine officers, and state troopers patrolling the highways into the resort city. Each new booking records the charges filed, sets a bond, and adds a jail photo to the public file.
To find out whether someone is being held, the Garland County Sheriff's Office runs an online inmate roster that you can search by name, and the detention center handles booking and bond questions at (501) 651-7804. Our Garland County mugshots page collects the newest bookings from around the Hot Springs area in one place, including arrests in Mountain Pine and the lake communities on Lake Hamilton and Lake Ouachita.
About Garland County
Garland County was organized in 1873 from parts of Hot Spring, Montgomery, and Saline counties and named for Augustus H. Garland, the Arkansas governor who went on to serve as U.S. attorney general. Its seat, Hot Springs, grew up around the steaming thermal springs that the federal government set aside back in 1832, the reservation that eventually became Hot Springs National Park, the only national park in the state. For generations the city drew health-seekers to the bathhouses of Bathhouse Row, gamblers to a wide-open downtown that sheltered figures like Owney Madden and Lucky Luciano, and racing fans to Oaklawn, which has run thoroughbreds since 1905. Tourism still anchors the county, along with the retirees of Hot Springs Village and the timber mills of Mountain Pine. The county courthouse, a 1905 Classical Revival landmark, is the only one in Arkansas that stands inside a national park. To the east, Saline County edges back toward Little Rock, while Yell County and the Ouachita backcountry lie to the northwest.
