The Denton County Sheriff's Office operates the Denton County Jail in the city of Denton, the county seat. The facility processes bookings from the sheriff's office and numerous municipal police departments, including those from Denton, Frisco, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Little Elm, The Colony, Corinth, and others. With over 1 million residents served across dozens of municipalities, the Denton County Jail handles a high volume of bookings.
