Garfield County Mugshots & Booking Records

Garfield County was born in a single afternoon, when the Cherokee Outlet was thrown open to settlers on September 16, 1893, and thousands raced to stake claims on the wheat country around what became Enid. Today those same plains feed some of the largest grain elevators on earth, and every arrest in the county still lands on the public booking record.
People arrested anywhere in Garfield County are booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility at 1020 South 10th Street in Enid, the central jail for the county’s sheriff’s deputies, the Enid Police Department, and the smaller town agencies across the area. Since the start of 2021 the facility’s daily operations have been handled by a county detention authority rather than the sheriff’s office directly, though the elected sheriff still sits on its governing board. Every intake records fingerprints, a booking photograph, the filed charges, and any bond figure, and people in custody can be traced through the county’s online inmate roster or Oklahoma’s statewide VINE service. Booking photos and charge sheets created at intake are public records in Oklahoma, which is why recent arrests surface on roster pages soon after they happen; the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office lists current contact and booking information for anyone following a case.
About Garfield County
Named for President James A. Garfield, the county spreads across roughly 1,060 square miles of north-central Oklahoma that opened to homesteaders during the Cherokee Outlet land run of September 16, 1893. Enid sprang up almost overnight after the run and grew fast into a railroad and milling town, a past still written into its skyline. The city anchors the county as both its seat and its largest community, home to close to 50,000 of the roughly 63,000 people countywide, while Garber, Waukomis, Kremlin, Lahoma, and Covington dot the surrounding wheat fields. Enid wears its nickname — the Wheat Capital of Oklahoma — with reason, claiming one of the largest grain-storage capacities in the country, its towering elevators a legacy of an 1890s feud with nearby Pond Creek over which town the railroad would serve. Farming, oil and gas from long-running fields such as the Garber-Covington, and Vance Air Force Base — the U.S. Air Force pilot-training post on Enid’s south side — keep the local economy turning.
