Uttering Forged Instruments
A mugshot or booking entry usually reflects an arrest or jail-intake record. It does not automatically mean the listed person was convicted of anything. Charges can later be dismissed, reduced, amended, sealed, expunged, or otherwise resolved in court.
Because of this, a listed charge should be read as an allegation at the booking stage. The meaning and severity of any charge can depend on state law, the facts alleged by authorities, prior history, and later court proceedings. For employment, housing, licensing, or any other serious decision, the final court outcome should be verified through official records rather than a booking entry.
Misdemeanor or felony, depending on the allegation

What typically happens next: Classification generally depends on the alleged amount and the conduct described. These matters are resolved through the courts, and a listed charge is not a finding of guilt.
